Staff Position
Mid Level
Making Cents International seeks a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to work on the USAID-funded Ukraine National Identity Through Youth (UNITY) activity. To that end, this activity addresses the key domains identified in USAID’s Positive Youth Development (PYD) approach: building youth assets, fostering resilience, offering age-appropriate experiences for youth contribution, and strengthening the enabling environment, while intentionally and safely promoting dialogue and belonging around this pluralistic identity and incentivizing participation and leadership by historically marginalized groups.

  • Lead and coordinate quarterly, biannual, and annual monitoring and evaluation reporting activities for Making Cents’ workstreams
  • Lead in the coordination, capture, and dissemination of learning from Making Cents’ activities
  • Provide capacity strengthening and troubleshooting support to UNITY grantees to collect data and report on key program indicators and results
  • Travel to UNITY activity sites to meet with grantees, vendors, and key stakeholders for data collection and verification (as security allows)
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Current resident of Ukraine
  • Oral fluency in Ukrainian and English
  • Excellent writing skills in Ukrainian and English
  • At least four years of experience leading and managing MEL activities, ideally for USAID-funded activities
  • At least five years of experience carrying out qualitative and quantitative MEL design, data collection, analysis, and reporting activities
  • Experience providing MEL capacity building support and/or training to local organizations
  • Experience collecting MEL data for USAID-funded activities
